Orchid of the day: Cattleya mossiae var. semi-alba

Cattleya mossiae var. semi-alba

Our  six year old Cattleya mossiae var. semi-alba has produced three flowers for the first time. There is a very pleasant rose scented fragrance. This orchid is native to Venezuela. I have written more about this orchid in my post from June 2, 2014. Click here.

A) Three beautiful flowers on May 29th, 2017. I must point out the flower is ~7.5 inches from top to bottom and 6.0 inches wide. Bigger than the palm of my hands, for sure!

B) Enjoying the 90oF of today, in Baltimore.

C) Another  close up.

D) A final photo from 2014 with Anthony.

Until my next post, have a good week everyone!
